Why I Started This Journey

In early 2024, there was a restructuring at work and my workload increased significantly. With the focus on work, I neglected my health and fitness. I was rarely going to the Gym and even skipped walking for several months. I was eating chicken wings, tenders and french fries multiple times a week. I was about 20 pounds over my ideal weight and I wanted to change things before it was too late. Then by gym offered a good personal training promotion for Thanksgiving. That is where it all started. It has been a year since I restarted by fitness transformation and I wanted to share the journey so far with the hopes that a few people will find it useful and benefit from it.

My Current Stats

  • Weight: 155 lbs (down from 172 lbs about a year ago)

My goals at the beginning

  1. Workout Schedule: 2 days of weight and strength training at gym per week. 1 to 2 days of walking or jogging for 45 mins to 1 hour.
  2. Nutrition: Eat healthy foods and adequate protein. Avoid deep fried food.
  3. Sleep: 7-8 hours per night
  4. Tracking: Periodic weight measurements
